Senior Direct Marketing Strategist

Vistaprint is looking for a Senior Specialist to join our Direct Marketing team. This team leverages data and customer insights to drive targeted cross-channel marketing strategies focused on increasing customer value and engagement within Email, Direct Mail and Unboxing channels.  

She/He will be responsible for developing Strategies for the Direct Marketing Channels, with a focus on Personalization transformation.

She/he will decide how much to invest, who to target, what creative to use and what direct channels to test new initiatives to drive incremental growth. Additionally, this position tracks and manages all the testing agenda and expenses, ROI and test results.

The person should be experienced in leading efforts in customer-journey mapping, across several direct digital channels and constantly testing and learning to leverage business opportunities.



  • Develop, execute and monitor end to end Direct marketing Initiatives to evolve our direct marketing efforts and exceed financial expectations.
  • Drive revenue and customer engagement growth by improving contact strategy relevancy via personalization, targeting, differentiated messaging, etc.
  • Delivering a multi-channel and digital transformation approach within the Direct Marketing channels. You will identify current gaps, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., marketing technology vendors, other internal departments such as Analytics or Creative).
  • Initiate growth Initiatives by outlining the customer targeting strategy, based on learnings from past campaigns and insights generated from test and learn agenda
  • Monitor key performance metrics and recommend adjustments to strategy/tactics as needed.


You also have

  • A solid Digital Marketing experience across multiple marketing channels including but not limited to direct mail and Email
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data to develop comprehensive, complex cross-channel personalization strategies from the ground up.
  • Experience in Digital Direct Marketing toolkit to help you personalize and automate targeted communications. Ie. Adobe campaign.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing and leveraging end-to-end marketing automation systems
  • Strong analytical skills. Proven experience of data-driven decision making in a very fast-paced environment
  • Experience partnering across functions and locations with marketers, analysts and developers to bring strategies to life
  • High-level strategic thinking combined with pragmatic, can-do approach
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities
  • Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while prioritizing

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing, mathematics, economics or related field; MBA preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-leading technology landscape that can deliver targeted marketing solutions at scale across Email, Direct Mail and other channels
  • Superior communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Fluent in English and experience in working in an international environment
  • Willingness and ability to excel as both a team lead and individual contributor
  • Experience working in agile or scrum a plus
