Operations Support Engineer, Merch Tech- US Remote

As an Operations Support Engineer, you will be part of a team that enables Merchandising specialists across the world by providing them with high quality support and service for the tools they’re using to build website content.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Resolving problems, settling their root cause and business impact, proposing long term prevention, and reporting on those activities
  • Acting as the main point of contact for tooling users and partners related to requests/issues coming from systems in production environment, and routing them to the appropriate dev team
  • Proactively recommending improvements to our tooling and processes, to prevent business losses and improve efficiency
  • Being an owner of the training and documentation materials for the use of operational toolsets and detailing on the use, standard methodologies, and solving problems for our operational toolsets
  • Crafting feedback loops with engineers, POs and tooling users and partners
  • Hands-on problem solving of issues in our production environments

     

Your Qualifications: 

  • Educated at a Bachelor degree level in Business or Computer Science (or equivalent) or at least one year of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills required
  • Strong capacity for logical thinking, with the ability to troubleshoot problems within a large distributed system, crossing many technology domains
  • Willingness to resolve repetitive problems while determining detailed handling and prevention.
  • High degree of familiarity with a modern administrative scripting or programming language to automate repeatable processes and perform changes (C#, Powershell, Python, etc.)
     

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (SiteCore, Contentful, or similar)
  • Knowledge of Merchandising and Marketing is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus
