As a key member of the go-to-market leadership team, you will be tasked with leading a global team of merchandising strategists who are embedded within Regional and Product lines of business. Merchandising plays a key role for each business, optimizing every part of the online shopping experience to help customers discover and create something they love. We are looking for someone who is passionate about solving customer problems and thrives on mentoring to help make the shopping experience exciting and easy for our customers!

 

Applicants will need an entrepreneurial spirit, an intellectual curiosity, and a bias towards action. The right candidate works collaboratively, communicates effectively, and drives consensus. They balance the customer experience with business goals and break down sophisticated problems in order to locate and manage their solutions. They are also able to successfully run multiple complex projects simultaneously, handle a fast-paced work environment and changing priorities.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of global merchandisers, building a high-performance culture to support the key lines-of-business. Build the environment to allow the team to own and be accountable for site performance within their domain.
  • Establish a shared Merchandising vision across the company by collaborating with essential team members, incorporating their inputs, and driving alignment on key priorities for the team.
  • Lead the development of a quarterly Merchandising roadmap, detailing key outcomes and best practices across all teams.
  • Coach your team to break down regional business strategies to develop merchandising requirements and user stories for key areas of focus.
  • Define and analyze patterns, trends, and metrics to identify new opportunities for growth by partnering with Testing and Optimization team on learning agenda and opportunities.
  • Evangelize data and customer testing as a primary source for user stories for team roadmaps.
  • Partner with Digital Product Management team to identify and advocate for new web and tooling features based on current gaps. Lead cross-functional teams responsible for the site set up and QA elements of migration of products and content onto the new platform.
  • Drive thought leadership and critical thinking in relation to Merchandising and how it continues to evolve as the organization evolves.

 

Your Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Merchandising experience with an ecommerce business, including leadership of a large team (global experience a plus). Understanding of ecommerce landscape including technologies and tooling.
  • Consistent track record of partnering and collaborating with cross functional teams through conceptualization, design and execution of merchandising strategies.
  • Passionate advocate for the customer with experience in consumer research and testing methodologies.
  • Strong acuity for web analytics and a knowledge of how critical metrics translate to business value.
  • Experience delivering site optimizations in an iterative process that supports agile principles.
