About the Team:

 

The CARE Design Operations team is Vistaprint’s design crew, handling customers across multiple locales, and supporting them by providing expert designs for a range of marketing materials and products offered by Vistaprint. Understanding the needs and dreams of small business owners is one of the keys to success in this crucial role. As a Design Artist, you will be part of this team that helps make our customer’s dreams come true!

 

Your Role:

 

Many of Vistaprint’s customers find they need a little support or guidance when it comes to design, or perhaps they just want confirmation from an expert that what they have created is professional looking and well-designed. That’s where you come in! Your role as a design consultant is to support the customer through creating/revising designs with an array of styles and product types, ensuring that they have everything they need to make their business look and feel professional. From business cards and flyers to customized product branding or logos -- you will bring your design expertise & understanding of different types of industries -- to provide expert design assistance and advice to our customers.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

 

  • Process designs requested by customers based on process requirements, producing high-quality designs that meet the needs of the customer and production standards to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Apply a customer-obsessed approach to design and customer interactions through demonstrating empathy & attentive listening, and going the extra mile to understand the customer brief, design style preferences, and industry-related needs to offer the best advice to customers
  • Build strong and lasting customer relationships and commitment through the interactions you share with customers
  • Manage difficult customer interactions with the use of empathy, positive scripting, and co-creating solutions with the customer
  • Answer relevant customer inquiries through various channels (phone, email, chat, and any additional channels as developed) in a courteous and professional manner
  • Participate in activities that contribute to continuous improvement in the skills required for the role
  • Seek to continuously advance your design skills and capabilities through self-study, attending offered training, and adopting best practices as observed/shared by others
  • Execute processes as documented and made available
  • Proactively raise issues regarding systems, tools, performance, and processes
  • Achieve the targets set by the team lead/operations manager
  • Adhere strictly to punctuality and schedule changes; comply with the company’s implementing guidelines and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as requested by a team leader/team manager

 

 

Qualifications & Functional Skills:

 

  • Degree/diploma course in Graphics Design or equivalent, preferably marketing/advertising graphic design experience, packaging graphic design
  • Either at least one year of industry experience or inexperienced but with a very strong portfolio (regardless, submitting a portfolio is required for this position)
  • Understanding design styles, especially producing and printing consistent color, proofing and printing an image, typographic design, working with typestyle, vector drawing techniques, creating vector objects for the background, working with defined custom shapes, importing a smart object
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat & other design software
  • Understands final art preparation standards and processes (including knowledge of the difference between file formats)
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, including active listening and rapport building
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while multi-tasking
  • Previous experience in a multi-channel customer service environment preferred
  • The ability to learn new technology quickly and to use multiple systems & tools
  • Highly motivated to act independently and to acquire additional knowledge or skill sets that will aid in the role
  • Must be available to work any shift that falls within our operating hours which spans 24 hours, 7 days per week.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Willingness to work in the graveyard, shifting schedules including holidays
  • Has an EXISTING internet connection of 10mbps and above (with speed test-proof)
  • Residing within Metro Manila
  • Has a suitable work environment that allows them to perform all job requirements
