Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the technical aspects of product launch, machinery installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and the repair and overhaul of mechanical / electrical installations on the production floor

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the Maintenance Area Managers to create a Reliability Centered Maintenance Program for all machines in the Vistaprint facility. Will also help launch the program working with the Maintenance, Engineering and Production team.
  • Act as a lead contact from Maintenance on all installation in the areas and work with engineering on all aspects of the requirements document from specific listing of approved components to spare parts required.
  • Creation of parts cabinet in to include all specialized tools for machine, manuals and spare parts.
  • Troubleshoot all issues in the area that exceed 24 hour shift capabilities using resources in Engineering and direct contact with Vendors. Will be Vistaprint’s direct liaison of communication with Vendors for maintenance escalations.
  • Provide on-the-job training to all maintenance technicians on new equipment. Will create training sheet to be used with specific tasks. Will be responsible to train all new hires on machines and training tasks in the area.
  • Facilitate creation of all Preventative Maintenance activities, including SOPs with pictures for machines in the area. This process is to be shared with all team members.
  • Perform routine PM activities and shift downtime/escalation calls to support production. As well as PTO or call-in coverage to help support the shop floor.
  • Update and communicate to the Maintenance team any changes to equipment drawings and/or documentation.
  • Must receive approvals from direct Manager on any changes recommended on equipment.
  • Must log all maintenance and equipment changes related activities into SAP accordingly. All activities must be logged within 6 hours and on a daily basis.
  • Will be Production Critical during holiday blackout period

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Licenced Journeyman
  • 433A or 430A License
  • 309A or 442A License
  • 426A or 420B License
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Training in Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Automated Building Systems, Facility Life & Safety
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS/SAP)
  • May be required to work various shifts as required
  • Must have a valid passport or be passport eligible for travel as required

  • Able to communicate effectively with the team, as well as outside contractors and regulatory inspectors
  • Ability to perform functions of the job with a high level of accuracy required
