Data Product Owner

Date: Nov 18, 2020

Location: Barcelona, B, ES, 08019

Company: Cimpress/Vistaprint

Who We Are:

Vistaprint’s Data and Analytics (DnA) organization is working to make our company one of the world’s most well-known and successful data-driven companies. The cross-functional team includes product owners, analysts, technologists, data engineers and more – all focused on providing Vistaprint with information and tools we can use to deliver jaw-dropping customer value. DnA team members are empowered to learn new skills, communicate openly and be active problem-solvers.

Our team is responsible for building products to create and strengthen DnA’s forecasting capability; we build time series models which inform Vistaprint’s sales and operations planning processes, provide business performance baselines and “early warning” systems, and support ad-hoc time series use cases. If you are passionate about building tools to help drive insights and action, this might be the role for you!

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with stakeholders within Data and Analytics (DnA), as well as across our lines of business and central functions, to understand the technical strategies, and translate them into concrete actions and results for our cross-functional customer-focused analytics team.
  • Design and lead a standardized communication and documentation process for various business partners on the data product status and roadmap.
  • Create end-to-end data product backlogs and build out the technological capabilities related to our new tech stack (work with Snowflake, Looker, Databricks)
  • Design, set up and implement proofs of concept (POCs) enhancing the team’s expertise. Ensure high standards in methods, speed in execution and learn from new insights that can have strong impact to the business and consumers
  • Set up team ceremonies and their cadence to monitor whether the work is delivering the expected value; raise roadblocks to the leadership team members when resources are insufficient

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Technology and work experience in analytics, data science, or technical roles, ideally supporting forecasting, time-series, or business planning and analysis topics
  • Customer-centric approach and ability to build products that help our stakeholders better understand customer behavior. Value-driven approach to focus on opportunities with the greatest impact.
  • “Minimum lovable product” (MLP) thinking to test new data products on a small scale before investing resources over extended periods of time
  • Demonstrated ability to support a team and identify the key results required for team members’ success; resolve impediments and identify the critical path for project success.

Nice to have:

  • Advanced coding skills in SQL, Python
  • Fluency with machine learning concepts
  • Experience with BI/dashboarding tools such as Looker
  • Proactive and positive approach to face challenges and overcome obstacles

At Vistaprint, we put great importance into the wellbeing of our employees, which is why we offer perks that ensure an excellent work/life balance. Perks include flexible schedules, work from home capabilities, and very generous time off, including our outstanding sabbatical-like program, “Vistabreak”, to name a few!
