About the Role

As part of our systems administration team, you will provide support for the computer-related needs of our Windsor manufacturing site from both a print-production and an administrative-related perspective.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Support day to day incidents as they relate to Viper (Vista proprietary software)
  • Support day to day incidents as they relate to pre-press technologies, including file conversion, transfer, scheduling, ganging, ripping, etc. with 3rd party and Vistaprint proprietary software and hardware mechanisms
  • While supporting production, the Systems Administrator will go to the ship floor, triaging an fixing reported incidents
  • Document all undocumented processes and maintain and update existing processes
  • Work primary in the WND IT Incidents JIRA Kanban Board
  • Answer the IT Hotline
  • Use monitoring tools to proactively identify issues
  • Cell phone management and support
  • Inventory control of IT Equipment
  • Deployment of Viper Patches and Releases
  • PDA support
  • Resolve all IT related issues tracking incidents
  • RMA IT Equipment as needed
  • Log all hours to individual incident or task JIRA tickets

 

What You Need:

  • Post-secondary or equivalent certification in a computer related field
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in a computer/networking support role
  • Have basic level of design knowledge, primarily but not limited to:
  • Viper Line Setup, Server Builds, Infrastructure, RIP Server Builds and Configuration, File Systems, Statuses, Manifest and Customs, RIP Strategies, Gang and Item DNAs, Bin Management and Viper Settings
  • Have basic knowledge of:
  • Amazon Web Services, Singleton SMRF Services, Micro Services
  • Flexible to changing work hours and shifts depending on the business needs
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment
  • Moderate knowledge of desktop support for Microsoft operation systems, and applications, hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
