About the Role:

The Quality Supervisor oversees the shop floor application of quality standards and procedures and integrates all aspects to assure product quality is met and sustained. This person directly manages and oversee teams of Quality Technicians and inspectors who audit the processes/ products and respond to abnormalities reported.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the supervision and performance reviews of direct reports and their assigned functions
  • Responsible for the measurement, tracking and reporting of quality floor metrics (Example: Quality Audit summaries, Quality Wall data, Mislabeling summaries, etc.)
  • Provides support for departments by aligning and benchmarking with other manufacturing facilities
  • Leads upward and downward communication of customer quality – issues, corrective actions, improvements and goals via reports, meetings and customer concerns
  • Responsible for change management (operational and ongoing CI development)
  • Responsible for supporting the performance, completion and continuous improvement of the Conformance audit process.
  • Responsible for alignment with the regional quality standardization initiatives
  • Responsible to collaborate with all departments to make sure that there is alignment in all steps of the customer and product quality process
  • Responsible to support the improvement with plant Quality Engineers of plant metrics (KPIs, Dept. Goals – for Scrap, Re Prints, Customer Complaints/Returns and Cost of Quality)
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of systems, processes, procedures, SOP’s and corrective actions for customer quality issues
  • Responsible for meeting annual Policy Deployment goals
  • Facilitates the disposition of raw material with all Quality Engineers in the Hold area.
  • Facilitates the disposition of finished goods
  • Owns the communication shift team meeting related to Quality
  • Provides each department with input and feedback from Quality Inspector and Quality Technician findings, analysis, trouble shooting, inspection/audits and inputs.
  • Responsible for the development of training plans, training, schedules, and analysis of training success for all current manufacturing processes and new processes/product launches.
  • Champions the overall Windsor Process/Product Audit System by leading the application, training, maintaining and verification.
  • Lead all aspects of time and attendance for team members in that Supervisors group.
  • Ensuring all Team Members follow Company Health & Safety standards as well as requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act as it applies to the manufacturing sector

 

What You Will Bring:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a quality department
  • 2 – 3 years’ supervision experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality department
  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing considered an asset
  • Six Sigma training considered an asset
  • Multi problem solving Techniques – Root Cause analysis skills and mistake proofing skills
  • Able to effectively communicate to groups and train effectively to a broad spectrum of positions
  • Proven strong organizational and planning skills with ability to provide leadership and support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and previous experience with Minitab, Vision, SAP considered an asset
  • Quality Certification, ASQ designation considered an asset
  • Ability to work shift rotation as and when requested as a business need.
