What You Will Do:

As a DevOps Engineer on the Channel Technology team, you will have a critical role in ensuring we are providing the right services and systems to keep us on the cutting edge into the future. We’re seeking someone who is passionate about automation and is comfortable in the selection, implementation, management, administration, and operation of these systems.

In this role, you will help Vista to succeed by:

  • identifying, selecting, designing and implementing tools for our marketing and analytics organizations, contributing to the architecture, delivery and maintenance of solutions provided by the team.
  • Architecting modern, operable, secure and scalable cloud infrastructure, participating in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues.
  • Develop repeatable tools and processes to enable Development teams to deploy, manage, and monitor their own applications. Automate deployment.
  • Documenting and assisting developers with proper operations and development practices.
  • Work with developers building microservices in the cloud to empower them operationally.

While candidates should have a strong technical background, they should also possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

 

Your Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in a computer field or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with these specific technologies, or similar ones: Cloud development (AWS preferred, GCP), GitLab (SCM, CICD, SAST, etc), Logging (SumoLogic), APM (NewRelic)
  • Relevant experience with Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK)
  • Experience with modern administrative scripting or programming languages to automate repeatable processes and execute changes (Python, Powershell, Javascript, etc.)
  • Proven experience working in a global organization and operating autonomously.
  • Experience operating in a microservices architecture.
  • Effective communication skills since your team works with a lot of other humans, many of which aren't technologists.
  • Passion for support and general helpfulness.
  • An understanding of operational best practices.
