The Cimpress Tax Team is a centralized function, responsible for optimizing, implementing, and maintaining global tax strategies for the businesses within the Cimpress organization. The Tax Team consists of experienced tax professionals with deep functional knowledge in U.S. GAAP tax accounting, global tax compliance, international tax, and transfer pricing. The Tax Team works collaboratively with other centralized functions (i.e., Treasury, Legal, Accounting, etc.) on cross-functional projects that provide significant value to the Cimpress organization, providing opportunities to expand your skill set and work in other functional areas. The Tax Team provides significant value to the Cimpress organization, a fact that is regularly recognized by senior leadership.

The Transfer Pricing Manager will support and report to the Transfer Pricing Senior Manager. This is a challenging and fast paced position that requires a candidate to understand Cimpress’ complex operating structure, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, understand the operating and financial systems, track intercompany relationships and staying current on new Transfer Pricing legislation to support the flows of company-wide cross-border goods, services, funds and intangible property transactions. In addition to the primary Transfer Pricing projects and responsibilities, the Transfer Pricing Manager will also have the opportunity to work with Cimpress Tax team members on international tax planning projects.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Assist with design, evolution and implementation of the global transfer pricing strategy for all the businesses owned by Cimpress.
  • Build relationships with other Cimpress Services functions (such as Controllership, Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Legal and HR), and business partners as well as external advisors to ensure complete and timely flow of information to the Transfer Pricing team and effective communication of Transfer Pricing inputs for the relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review legal entity financial profitability analyses to ensure transfer pricing policies are conducted consistent with the arm’s length standard.
  • Review of transfer pricing calculations and journal entries and partner with Accounting and Finance teams for posting of accurate entries.
  • Drafting, reviewing, tracking and execution of inter-company agreements related to inter-company transactions.
  • Providing inputs and helping review (i) transfer pricing studies prepared internally and by outside tax advisors and (ii) transfer pricing documentation globally.
  • Assist in tracking and meeting deadlines of BEPS global reporting requirements, including Master File and Country by Country reporting in various jurisdictions in which Cimpress operates.
  • Prepare workpapers necessary for global transfer pricing documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of changes and development to the legal and technical environment related to transfer pricing.
  • Oversee transfer pricing compliance prepared by Cimpress businesses and external advisors as needed.
  • Work with senior Cimpress tax team members on international tax planning projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advance degree or professional certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in transfer pricing or financial analysis in either public accounting firm or a multinational organization focused on international tax or transfer pricing or corporate accounting/finance.
  • Strong analytical, project management skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of financial statement analysis and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience working with SAP & OneStream, preferred
  • Ability to adapt to change and work independently as well as collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Prior corporate experience in a multinational organization.
  • MBA, Masters – Economics/Finance, Taxation, International Business.
  • CPA, Admission to the Bar, Ph.D. – Economics or Finance.
  • Familiarity with OneStream, SAP and BlackLine.
  • Knowledge of or exposure to international tax matters and supply chain structures.
  • Knowledge of or experience with technology service, e-commerce and manufacturing industries.
