We’re currently looking for a motivated Sr. Sustainabilty Analyst who will play an integral role supporting Cimpress report and communicate about our sustainability efforts and intentions to key stakeholders both internal and external to Cimpress and its businesses. As Manager, ESG Reporting, you will help drive business value and enhance Cimpress’ reputation by ensuring that Cimpress’ sustainability performance is transparently and accurately communicated to the most relevant ESG frameworks, as well as through more informal means.

Cimpress is seeking a Sr. Sustainabilty Specialist to support us in ensuring that Cimpress satisfies extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations (including packaging, textiles, waste electrical equipment, etc.) and energy reporting in all countries where Cimpress businesses exist or will expand.


As a Sr. Sustainability Analyst, you will help drive business value not only by accurately calculating Cimpress’ EPR obligation and ensuring that it is satisfied, but also internally socializing these costs with product and packaging decision-makers so that they can be accounted for in design decisions. You will help build, maintain, and improve scalable tools to support capture and analysis of the data needed to comply with global regulations.



  • Coordinate with all relevant Cimpress businesses to efficiently gather all necessary EPR-related data, including from third party fulfillers.
  • Accurately and timely complete EPR reporting obligations in countries around the world, including Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, etc.
  • Co-ordinate multi-eye reviews of EPR regulatory filings, and communicate required fees to be paid to obligated Cimpress businesses;
  • Support internal or external audits of this data by regulatory and quasi-regulatory agencies;
  • Supporting the build, implementation, maintenance and improvement of scalable tools for EPR-related data capture and analysis capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date and proactively assess regulatory developments related to EPR around the world and brief local and global stakeholders on compliance-readiness and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolves compliance issues related to EPR that arise.
  • Assess the impact of EPR on high value packaging launches and changes.
  • Assess the impact of EPR on high value product launches.
  • Trigger notifications to Cimpress businesses whenever any new EPR-related regulations are enacted/updated, along with impact analysis.
  • Collect/analyze market data trends related to EPR as required; develop advanced predictions regarding EPR fees that Cimpress businesses can use to account for the future impact of EPR fees in their product and packaging design.
  • Assess/calculate recyclability and reusability rates.
  • Lead data gathering on behalf of all Cimpress businesses with European locations for the EU Energy Reporting Directive (for discussion).


Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience with product environmental regulatory compliance issues related to EPR regulations, preferably within a public company.
  • Demonstrated ability to deep dive compliance topics such as EPR and energy reporting. 
  • Experience in data intensive, large-scale project management roles, preferably in product regulatory compliance
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Engineering, Sustainability, Business Administration, or Materials Engineering.
  • Experience effectively articulating recommendations/conclusions both verbally and in written form
  • Strong data-driven analytical skills, highly organized, with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload in changing environments
  • Able to quickly build trusting relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the organization and collaborate with a diverse and global workforce.
  • Ability to work independently across global, virtual, asynchronous, and cross-functional teams.
    • Experience reading and interpreting environmental legislation and regulation
    • Willing to learn new technologies and tools
