Role:- Senior Data Engineer

Job Location: Mumbai

  • Vistaprint’s Finance & Supply Chain organization is working to make our company one of the most data-driven organizations to support Finance and Supply Chain functions.

  • Join our newly created Finance & Supply Chain Data Office as a Lead Snowflake Data Engineer!
  • This Senior / Lead level within the organization will be a key member of team not only for implementation but also for operations and support.
  • In addition, this key member will be responsible to implement best practices, data standards and reporting tools.
  • We are in the early stages of a Snowflake cloud data warehouse implementation.
  • You will be responsible for general ETL development and implementing new solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to help Vistaprint modernize our hybrid technology solutions including the opportunity to work on modern warehousing and integration technologies.
  • This role will require in depth understanding of cloud data integration tools and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake experience is critical), the ability to lead and execute to help drive and see tangible result.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation, execution, and maintenance of Data Integration technology solutions.
  • Lead work to advance and support information management practices within business processes, applications and technology that underpin the EIM discipline (e.g. establishing data quality processes, performing data analysis, participating in technology implementation planning and verification to ensure successful installation of software and/or projects, implementing data integration processes, administering content, etc.).
  • Provide leadership for Data Integration tasks supporting projects.
  • Lead the Management and proactive improvement of Vistaprint’s data by analyzing the current systems environment, leveraging proven practices, applications, technology, tools and platforms to support and enhance the information landscape.
  • Leads the delivery, support and maintenance of solutions with one or more business and technology areas.
  • Organizational impact results from mid-large sized projects.
  • You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable ETL processes in the data warehouse platform to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business demand for data and use it to deliver the data as service which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day decision making.
  • Work with other engineers in defining data engineering best practices and leveraging software development life cycle best practices such as agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.


Required Job Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Technology related field including prior lead experience.
  • Advanced in-depth knowledge of data integration concepts and tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership on mid-large-scale project impacting strategic priorities.
  • As a Data Engineering Manager, you should be an expert in the architecture of DW solutions for the Enterprise using multiple platforms.
  • You should excel in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets structured and unstructured.
  • You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business analysts and engineers to determine how best to design the data warehouse for reporting and analytics.
  • Experience writing high quality, maintainable SQL on large datasets.
  • Ability to write code in Python, Ruby, Scala, Java or other platform-related Big data technology.
  • Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR and RDS.
  • Experience with Web services and API development on enterprise platforms.
  • Experience in developing GraphQL APIs is a clear plus.
  • Experience in Finance & Supply Chain data is a plus.
  • Experience using and building solutions to support multiple reporting and data tools (preferably Tableau, or other tools such as Looker/Cognos/BOBJ/OBIEE).
  • Advanced data visualizations, including hands-on experience with complex SQL.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with others toward the same outcome to drive result.
